Power Of Attorney Supplied By Golden Charter
WHAT IS POWER OF ATTORNEY?
Golden Charter also offers Power of Attorney which is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone to make certain decisions on your behalf. It gives your chosen attorney the authority to make decisions if you lack mental capacity at some point in the future or if you no longer wish to make those decisions for yourself.
In a Power of Attorney, you’re known as the ‘donor’. The trusted people you choose to make the decisions are called ‘attorneys’.
There are two types of Power of Attorney:
*Those for financial decisions
*Those for health and care decisions
Without a nominated attorney, your family or friends may have to go to court to get the authority to act on your behalf. This could be time consuming and costly.
Your nominated attorney can be a close relative or trusted friend
